周末的洛杉矶街，一场亡命飞车大战又将拉开序幕。许多年轻人带来了改装的赛车，期望在街一战成名，赢得荣誉和财富：一轮赛车的赌注高达2000美金。这时，新扎师兄布莱恩（保罗·沃克）登场了。他的任务是借飞车入活跃在非法赛车活动中的帮派，充当，为局和FBI收集证据，查清究竟是哪个帮派经常运送贵重电子货品的卡车。
